James Rind Physiotherapist Cardiff Bay

James 
Rind MSc

James qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1999 with a Master's Degree from Glasgow Caledonian University having first completed a BSc (Hons) Biochemistry degree from Cardiff University.

 

He worked within the University Hospital of Wales and specialised in Musculoskeletal Medicine. His training continued at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, Chelsea and Westminster and Queen Mary's Hospital in London.

 

James has worked in private practice since 2007, developing a strong reputation in the Cardiff & Penarth area. During this time he has also developed an interest in Occupational Health and Wellbeing, working to support many employers in a wide range of industries.  More recently he has worked as a First Contact Physiotherapist within NHS GP Surgeries in South Wales & Bristol. 

James is a highly experienced clinician who offers thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex musculoskeletal problems. His broad learning allows for a comprehensive and holistic approach that considers not only physical health, but also the impact of your mental and emotional wellbeing. 

  • MSc Rehabilitation Science - Glasgow Caledonian University 1997-1999  

Following an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, James studied for 2 years in Glasgow. He achieved an MSc in Rehabilitation Science and registered as a Chartered Physiotherapist and member of the Health and Care Professions Council in February 1999.

Through working with many companies and occupational environments as an Occupational Health Physiotherapist, James' passion for Individual and Workplace Wellbeing was ignited. The student was woken and he completed an MSc in Workplace Health and Wellbeing in 2016.

  • MSc Workplace Health & Wellbeing - University of Nottingham 2014-2016

As a physiotherapist practical skills have been the bed rock of James' practice. This diploma offered him the bridge between the academic research of Masters study and the requirement of practical interventions for patients. Since this point he has been truly offering a holistic approach to patient care considering all aspects of physical, mental and emotional health & wellbeing. 

  • Level 5 Diploma Stress Management & Wellbeing - CPCAB 2017

When not being a Physiotherapist or Mentoring Wellbeing, James loves being outdoors walking, running or playing on the water. More recently he has rediscovered a love of motorcycling and enjoys the frustrations of learning the violin and painting with oils.
